qPCR

qPCR is a two step reaction, synthesize DNA before undergoing PCR

RT-PCR is reverse transcription PCR that takes RNA and reverse transcribes it and does qPCR on it afterwards.

Not to be confused with real-time PCR which is just qPCR despite the stupidity of using the same initials
